Greetings
We, at Georgetown Little Theatre Productions Inc., are excited about our 58th Season. 2018-19 will be filled with three exceptional main stage productions along with the Youth Company’s two productions. November opens with “Steel Magnolias” by Robert Harling, directed by award director Kathryn DeLory; followed by the Youth Company Y1A’s – One Act Festival. February continues with the block buster play, “A Streetcar Named Desire” by Tennessee Williams directed by the experienced hand of Marilyn Nicholas-Dahan. The Spring production in April, “Hamish” by Canadian playwright Michael Grant is directed by long time director, Geoff Ford. The Youth Spring production, as yet to be decided, will follow at the end of April.
Last season GLT created two new categories – New Works Showcase and the Film Club. “Within a Play” by member David Busuttil, was the first play in the Showcase. It was workshopped in the Spring and presented at the GLT Studio for four performances in late June to great reviews. The GLT Film Club creates short movies and videos for each main stage production for advertising.
I am pleased to welcome five past youth members to the 2018-19 Board of Directors. These dedicated young people along with the other members of the Board will carry GLT forward.
As GLT is a not for profit, registered charity, we rely on ticket sales, fundraising and donations from Patrons. If you would like to become a Patron, please email us at the address below and an information package will be sent to you.
We hope you will come out to all or one of the shows presented by Georgetown Little Theatre Productions Inc. We welcome new members, it's not all about being on stage; it takes a group of people to put together a production. If you want to find out more about the group, please email us at www.georgetownlittletheatre.ca.
