Georgetown Little Theatre Productions Inc. has been a member of the Association of Community Theatres-Central Ontario (ACT-CO) since ACT-CO was formed.

ACT-CO is a not-for-profit umbrella organization for community theatre groups. The region stretches from Oakville in the West, Bowmanville in the East, Muskoka in the North, and Lake Ontario in the South. Their main focus is education through workshops in various aspects of theatre such as set design, producing, audition techniques, etc., and provides various services to the member groups.

The most visible educational activity is the Festival which has up to 40 to 45 productions entered in the Musical, Drama or Comedy categories. Each production entered in the festival receives an adjudication by a working theatre professional. The adjudicators attend one performance of each show in their category which includes an in-depth dialogue with the members of the production giving the group ideas and suggestions on ways to move their performances forward and continue producing top-notch theatre.

The festival culminates each year in April at the Annual Awards Gala evening where the adjudicators present the nominations and winners in each category recognizing outstanding performances and achievements from the season. These awards, called THEAs, are presented at the Gala.

The award categories are the Best: Production; Director; Musical Director; Choreographer; Stage Manager; Set Designer; Lighting Designer; Sound Designer; Costume Designer; Actor and Actress in a leading role, Actor and Actress in a Supporting Role along with Adjudicators special awards.
